Can children have sweets with liqueur?
Dmitry Zykov, PhD in food production, gave a detailed answer to this question.
According to him, cognac, liqueurs and rum are included in various sweets: cakes, pastries, sweets. This additive gives an unusual piquant taste, but contains practically no alcohol. This is explained by the fact that ethyl alcohol is volatile and evaporates quickly during storage. Therefore, everyone, even children, are allowed to eat baked goods soaked in alcohol.
As for sweets with liqueur, it is not advisable to treat them to children . The chocolate glaze in which the filling is located serves as a kind of packaging for alcohol. The alcohol part evaporates slowly. So, after long-term storage, sweets contain much less alcohol than fresh ones. The alcohol in stale sweets may completely disappear, but then the shelf life is not suitable for treating a child.
And although the concentration even in fresh chocolates is not as high as in pure alcoholic drinks, they should not be consumed by children and those who plan to drive in the next 2-3 hours.

Ice cream, chocolate, marshmallows, colorful candies... Even adults begin to salivate at the sight of a colorful wrapper, let alone a child who simply dreams of trying all this splendor. And often parents cannot refuse their beloved child, but they wonder whether it is possible to give children sweets, how much sweets a child can have, what kind of sweets will not harm the baby?
The love for sweets manifests itself in children at a very early age. Mother's milk, which gives the baby a feeling of calm and comfort, contains lactose, which tastes sweet. And if your child grew up on artificial feeding, then in most cases the love for sweets will remain with him for the rest of his life, because maltose, which is added to such mixtures, has a very pronounced sweet taste. As a result, the child develops a very strong craving for sweets, especially in stressful situations, when there is a great need to calm down and feel safe.
In order to avoid changing taste habits, it is necessary to avoid adding too much sugar from a very early age. Intentionally sweetening foods with table sugar may cause your child to eat too much food. In the future, this threatens obesity and the development of diabetes.
